Future students –
I am very curious what you think about this article. I know the article is about graphic design schools, but I am seeing a lot of things in there I would agree with for most ID curriculums as well. Please read and comment and be prepared to talk about in one of our first sessions. Hope your presentation preparations are going well.
Designers: Please download and review the PDF of the Studio Overview Plan for an overview of the topics I intend to cover, as well as the overall schedule of project progress. You are very much encouraged to comment on this and request additional topics you feel like you are missing out right now, or let me know if you know about a specific topic inside out already. The more lively our discussion on here is, the more we will get out of the 5 weeks together. I am excited to meet all of you and hit the ground running!
Please download the PDF of the Design Brief and review thoroughly. I would really like for us to start the discussion about the fascinating two axis of the product ecosystem and object network prior to the start of our modules. Please share comments, questions, links, quotes using the commentary feature, or feel free to start a new thread.
Over the next week, I am inviting you to perform preliminary research and send me relevant findings with comment via email (you can post here in addition to the email, if you would like).
Please note that you are asked to submit initial preliminary research "snippets" by Saturday, February 13th.
